Transtector Launches a New Integrated Cabinet Division

Wednesday, February 21, 2001
Transtector Systems has increased its core TVSS manufacturing business by developing its cabinet systems integration capabilities including surge-protected, integrated load centers and AC and Telco distribution cabinets. The expansion enables Transtector to capture additional market share with its current customer base as well as new prospects by offering flexibility in design, faster time to market and internationally certified quality.

The expanded division offers several basic cabinet models that can be custom configured to meet a variety of mechanical and performance specifications. Through a streamlined manufacturing process, the division also boasts one of the fastest turnaround times from order to delivery – up to half that of most other suppliers. Even with the additional manufacturing capacity and fast turnaround times, Transtector continues to be quality-driven, earning ISO 9001 certification earlier this year, and UL 891 listing for the power protection cabinet product line. Due to the cabinet integration capability, Transtector has been accepted into the Sprint PCS Affiliate Program, and has won new business from carriers such as VoiceStream Wireless, Verizon Wireless and Cricket Communications. Without this integration capability, Transtector would have been limited in establishing itself within these accounts.
