Transtector Systems today expanded its innovative line of DPR Series dataline surge protection solutions, adding PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ capabilities to one of the most cost-effective protection systems available.
The DPR Series product line now includes DPR Base, DPR Lite and DPR Fit product families, each tailored to the growing demand for surge protection in global WiFi, WISP, backhaul, PoE, security PTP radios and small cell applications. These modular, value-priced solutions provide reliable, non-degrading silicon avalanche diode technology based surge protection in an affordable, scalable platform.
“The DPR Series provides a highly cost-effective surge protection solution that combines versatility and reliability with extensive flexibility,” said Dan Rebeck, Transtector Product Manager. “Users can tailor systems to truly fit their requirements, and now PoE applications can rely on the same high level of surge protection.”
New product groups include:
· DPR Base: Engineered for PoE applications · DPR Lite: Engineered for PoE+ applications · DPR Fit: Engineered for PoE++ applications
DPR Series products can be rack-, wall- or DIN rail-mounted for versatility. Each DPR component features a shielded RJ-45 jack for reliable connections, and can be used as a standalone surge protector or as part of an inline system with up to 16 modules in a 19-inch rack.
The comprehensive DPR Series product family includes surge protection solutions for T1/E1, 10/100BT and xDSL equipment, in addition to the new power-over-Ethernet components. All DPR Series products meet key global standards, including CE, UL 497b, IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af. They are available today through Transtector Systems and the company’s worldwide channel partners.
