On August 23rd, Transtector Systems, part of Smiths Interconnect Protection Technology Group welcomed Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador to tour it’s Hayden, ID based headquarter.
Transtector Systems, specialist in surge and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection, was honored to be given the opportunity to share with Congressman Labrador its involvement in national defense projects as well as highlight its EMP mitigation expertise to protect our country and military. Surge protection devices designed, developed and manufactured by Transtector Systems in Hayden, Idaho are being used to protect critical electrical and communications systems within global defense missions.
The congressman’s visit included a technology overview, plant tour and informal meeting of employees. He particularly stressed his political focus on economic growth and commitment to “Cut, Cap and Balance” initiatives to help the return of jobs to the state.
Transtector Systems employs over 260 workers and supports 41 Idaho suppliers. “We very much appreciated the opportunity to showcase our business to Congressman Labrador” said Shawn Thompson, President Protection Technology Group. “We are well positioned to leverage our expertise in surge and EMP protection to further grow our military division and expand our support of US based jobs”.
