Smiths Power, a business unit of Smiths Interconnect, today announces the appointment of Darren Torr to the position of Vice President of Sales for the Commercial and Industrial Value Stream.
Darren comes to Smiths Power with extensive leadership experience in sales, marketing, product management, and operations from a diverse set of companies including Schneider Electric, General Electric, Marshfield Door Systems and Nematron Corporation. Darren holds an M.B.A. from Boston College and a B.S. in Business Administration from Michigan State University.

Working alongside Smiths Power’s two other Value Streams (Datacenter and International), the Commercial and Industrial team primarily focuses on the Wireless Telecommunications, Rail and Energy markets. Across these markets, Mr. Torr will be leading a diversification initiative promoting the full spectrum of Smiths Power capabilities through which we Transform, Distribute, Monitor and Protect TM power in critical networks and systems.
