Smiths Interconnect announces the appointment of Tom Kritzell, effective today, as President of Smiths
Interconnect Power, one of three operational Business Units alongside Smiths Interconnect Connectors and
Smiths Interconnect Microwave.
Smiths Interconnect Power designs and manufactures a range of power management and power quality products and services based on the application of power conditioning, distribution, protection, management and monitoring technologies to multiple mission critical markets including data center, telecommunications, medical imaging, transportation, energy and defense. The Business Unit comprises Transtector, PolyPhaser, DOWIN, Power Distribution, Inc., Marelco Power Systems and ONYX Power.

Tom has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. His experience includes Operations, Engineering and Product Development roles leadership roles within Kirsch Company, a subsidiary of Cooper Industries that was acquired by Newell Rubbermaid. Tom then rejoined Cooper and held various Marketing and General Management roles including, most recently, a senior P&L leadership role in their Power business. Tom will be based at the Power Distribution, Inc. (PDI) facility in Richmond, VA.
