LEA is taking surge protection to a new level with the introduction of the SP Plus. LEA engineered the SP Plus 100 and 200 for UL 1449 3rd Edition safety requirements and optimized performance by design to meet the maximum Nominal Discharge Current.
UL 1449 3rd Edition will go into effect in September 2009. The SP Plus 100 is now listed to 3rd Edition for 100kA Surge Current Capacity per phase. Even more robust, the SP Plus 200 is listed with 200kA.
SP Plus units come standard with noise filtering, dry contacts, monitoring lights per phase, audible alarm w/disable, and are housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure. The SP 100 and SP 200 products are listed for UL Type 2 and IEEE Category C High exposure locations, and are designed to provide superior reliability and safety while maintaining the maximum in performance.
