Individual modules are provided with a DIN rail clip that can be connected to a ground. Configured in the 19” chassis, any 16 module combination of GigE, T1/E1, 160V POE, 10/100Base-T(X) and DSL will provide a cross connect for line management. The DIN clip of each unit provides a bond to the chassis to ground communication lines.

Each protection module is designed to GR-1089-2006 standards and optimized to provide maximum frame transmission. The GigE module connects to RJ45 Cat5 1000Base-T signal lines and protects all pins for data rates of 100 or 1000 megabits per second. For 60V 10/100Base-T power over Ethernet lines, the 60V POE module protects all eight pins to support data rates of 100 megabits per second. The T1/E1 module connects to RJ45 Cat5 lines to support data rates of 1.544 or 2.048 mega bits per second. The 10/100Base-T(X) module protects pins 1, 2, 3 and 6 for 10 or 100 megabits per second. The xDSL module protects RJ48 digital signal lines with signal speeds up to 6.312 megabits per second carried on pins 1, 2, 4 and 5.
