The box is a rugged weatherproof enclosure that is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Constructed from molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, it is well suited for high temperature or corrosive environments. The integrated mounting flange allows it to be mounted directly to any flat wall surface provided proper screws are used into secure studs. The enclosure can be also be mounted to a wide diameter range of poles with one of our optional pole mounting hardware kits.The raised lid features a stainless steel continuous hinge and stainless steel quick release latches with padlock hasps. Includes fully gasketed lid & integral mounting flange. The enclosure material is UV stabilized and comes in machine tool gray.
Mounting Plate
The modified aluminum mounting plate included with the TEF141207-4H0N comes pre-drilled and cut holes to use as needed to mount WLAN equipment or whatever equipment you may require. The drawing displays the hidden lines indicating the location of components mounted on the back of the plate and should be avoided when drilling into the plate.The enclosure also features holes for two N-Bulkhead lightning protectors or connectors, a grounding lug, and a cable conduit connector.
The TEF-PMT series of pole mounting kits allow the populated enclosure to be securely mounted to a variety of different size poles. Compatible versions include TEF-PMT13, TEF-PMT16, TEF-PMT28, TEF-PMT29, TEF-PMT30 & TEF-PMT33
*Note: Enclosure ports (cable conduit connector and N-type holes for lightning protectors or connectors) must be properly sealed to maintain NEMA Type 4 / IP66 rating.
Sub-zero Applications
The TEF141207-4H0N enclosure is designed for use in sub-zero environments down to -30°F (-34°C). It features a 48 VDC 50W thermostat controlled heating system that will, along with the heat generated by an internal device such as an access point, maintain a nominal internal ambient temperature of +40°F (4°C). A single CAT5 cable provides power to the heating system from a remote mounted DC Injector and Power Supply which are included with the enclosure. An additional CAT5 cable would then be used to supply data and power to installed PoE equipment.
This enclosure includes:
(1) BT-CAT5-NB2 - DC Injector: used to supply heating system power to a single NB141207-4H0N Sub-Zero Heated Enclosure.
(1) PS4870-25R - 70W Power Supply for BT-CAT5-NB2 DC Injector: 48VDC@70W, 110/220 VAC, 2.5mm DC Plug
Additional Applications
For applications requiring multiple enclosure installations we recommend purchasing the TEF14-C5-TE12. This rack mount DC injector can supply power for up to 12 TEF141207-4H0N heated enclosures.
Application Note:
The Transtector TEF141207-4H0N sub-zero NEMA enclosure uses a proprietary wiring pin out. The RJ-45 connectors on the TEF141207-4H0N sub-zero NEMA enclosure or the Transtector sub-zero DC power injector, should never be connected to any other manufacturers equipment. Transtector Systems Inc. is not liable for any damage done to incompatible equipment due to misuse of the Transtector sub-zero NEMA equipment
