Transtector Announces Its Newest T1 Protector For Up To  Six Lines
Release Date:
11/1/05

Transtector Systems, an industry leader in surge protection for communications systems, is now offering a compact surge protector for up to six T1 data lines.  It is designed to protect at a cell site between the wireless transceiver and the network signal.

The TSJ-X6 has RJ 48C (RJ 45 compatible) connectors using pins 1,2 and 4,5 for up to six transmit and receive signal lines.  It is presented in a small enclosure of 6.2 inches in height, by 4.5 inches in width and 1 inch in depth, and only weighs a half of a pound.

Transtector’s patented silicon avalanche suppressor diode (SASD) technology used in the 12V surge protector provides reliable protection for sensitive data applications.  Alternative technologies such as gas tubes and thyristors are not as effective due to slower surge clamping and inferior protection levels.

The TSJ-X6 features field replaceable surge modules and a single ground connection with an external ¼-20 grounding stud.  It is easily mounted in a cabinet or a stand alone application with integrated mounting holes at two opposing corners.  Please contact Transtector’s directly for more information on the TSJ-X6 data surge protector.
