Transtector Releases Compact 4 Pair Protector, CR4
Release Date:
9/12/06

The latest edition to Transtector’s Security Protection Line, the CR4, provides a superior protection solution for multiple pair data lines. Using our proprietary silicon avalanche surge suppression technology, this product line provides the fastest reaction time possible with zero deterioration of protection levels for security systems. The CR4 eliminates harmful transients that would damage your equipment on time, every time.

Transtector’s surge suppressors provide accurate and reliable protection for systems like access control and fire alarms that are highly sensitive to surges. Competing technologies do not respond as quickly. Slower response times equate to higher voltage protection levels. The CR4 reacts every time in less than one nanosecond to surge voltage.

Competing technologies degrade over time, increasing response time and decreasing protection levels. Transtector’s superior proprietary protection technology equipment maintains constant operating effectiveness.

The CR4 is designed to protect 5VDC to 24VDC with up to four dual pair data lines. It is designed for use with all major fire alarm security protocols and access controls, as well as PLC and communication applications. The CR4 carries the standard Transtector 10-year manufacturer and five year unconditional suppression warranties.

About Transtector Systems

Transtector Systems is an international provider of power quality products including AC, DC, data and signal surge protection, communications power cabinets, EMP protection, lightning protection, and power quality engineering services. Established in 1967, Transtector was the first surge suppression designer to use non-degrading silicon diodes. Our patented, proprietary silicon avalanche suppressor diode (SASD) technology allows for less let-through voltage and lower clamp levels than other surge protection products. No one understands suppression and power quality issues like Transtector.
